Meet one of the strong promoters of Yorubaland in Diaspora





Chief Victor Mobolaji Adewale was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria in the mid-60s, but he hails from Oke Oro, Ekiti, Ekiti State.

He attended ICC primary school "Yemetu" Ibadan 1973–1979 and "Ikolaba" High School 1980-1985 both in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

He worked with the Nigeria Air Force Military Airlift Command (MAC) Ibadan Oyo State between 1988-1991.

He was later transferred to the Nigeria Air Force Air Transport Group (ATG) and Personnel Management Centre (PMC) Ikeja Lagos State between 1991-1997.

He worked briefly as a clearing agent at "Apapa" Wharf before he moved to Berlin, Germany in late 1997 and finally to Stockholm, Sweden in the year 1999.

A successful businessman based in Sweden. He is blessed with a happy family.

He set up and owned "Vickymore" International AB, a company that deals with Swedish newspapers in conjunction with Sweden Post (S-Post) and "Svensks" Direkt "Reklam" (SDR) between 2002-2007.

He studied Tourism and Shipping management at the International School of Aviation, Tema Ghana, and came out as the most outstanding correspondence and best international student of the year 2017.

He is the Founder of Victor Mobolaji Adewale Foundation (VMA Foundation) a nongovernmental organisation that reaches out to the less privileged in the communities and the world as a whole.

He is the CEO of Havana Kitchen & Bar and CEO of Havana Motors (a division of VICKYBOLAD GLOBAL RESOURCES LTD) located at "Aromolaran" Old Ife road Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

For his passion for the promotion and showcasing of his culture, he took Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) a Yoruba Social Cultural organisation founded by Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams to Scandinavia countries and became the first coordinator of the OPU Sweden Chapter between 2014-2015.

In the verge of the progress of OPU, the organisation is now in 95 countries across the globe, and he rose to become the Deputy coordinator of OPU Europe between 2015-2017.

"Akingbayi" Victor "Mobolaji" Adewale, as he is fondly called, is presently the European Coordinator of "Oodua" Progressive Union since the year 2017.

He is conferred with the following "Chieftancy" titles (1) "Ajagunla" of Scandinavia in Sweden by the Late High

Chief Obafemi "Oshindele" the "Otunba" of Imota land Ogun state in 2012 (2) The "Akinrogun" Arigidi Akoko Land, Ondo State in 2015 by HRM Yisa Abu "Olanipekun" the Zaki of Arigidi Akoko Land Ondo State (3) The 1st Akingbayi Aare Ona "Kakanfo" of "Yorubaland" in 2020 by Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo Yorubaland.

He has more than 30 awards to his credits including the 2016 Nigeria Rainbow Man of the year and The Akoni Asa of "Yorubaland".

He is the patron of the Unity brothers, Leo boxing team both in Ibadan, Oyo State, and also ODUA Women Maritime Association Lagos State.

He is the Cultural Ambassador of the Worldwide Yoruba Creative Legends.

As the European Coordinator for "Oodua" Progressive Union, he is trying his best to foster unity and peace among sons and daughters of "Yorubaland" both in the Diaspora and homeland.
